By default the Excel add-in queries the Nexar supply API to access pricing and availability data, as well as a wealth of other information including as datasheet URLs, descriptions, lead time and stock levels.
Under the self-serve subscription model, some of these are optional features - namely Datasheets and Lead Time - and they need to be enabled in order to access the data via the API. If you enable these features in your subscription, or if you are an Enterprise customer, you will have access to them.
However, with the latest version of the Excel add-in, you can still use the add-in even if you do not have access to these features. There are new arguments to the NEXAR_SUPPLY_LOGIN()
function which allow you to exclude the features you do not have access to:
=NEXAR_SUPPLY_LOGIN("ClientId", "ClientSecret", "ExcludeDatasheets", "ExcludeLeadTime")
By default the Excel add-in assumes you have access to all features and will produce an error if you do not and try to access them.
Warning : Please ensure you have the latest version of the add-in. The new login capability is only available from v0.5 and above.
